the light leak being white suggests it’s coming from the front - so could be shutter. The difference in intensity could be from when the film is sitting in front of the leak for a longer time (no film advance), then the leak has longer to expose it.

the processing pipeline works in Darktable. And when you want to invert negatives, you just replace sigmoid/filmic with negadoctor (as that takes care of mapping the wide source dynamic range to the display).

If you manage to get over the steep learning curve of darktable, it genuinely is more powerful than lightroom. I switched from lightroom, I tried it again recently and I felt so restricted... I would recommend watching examples from Darktable Landscapes (on YouTube) just to get a feel for how (1/2)
