With her abuse, her age, and her cancer, I know my time with her is limited. She doesn't realize shes not a puppy anymore, she runs and plays like when i first met her, shes just gotten very spoiled and she enjoys her naps, pillows, and sunbathing a little extra now. 🧵

By then, there were so many, it'd be over $5k for a surgery so intense, she'd never make it through. Since then, we've been treating it with meds and CBD which has kept them at bay and we do tests to make sure everything is surface level. At 12yo, shes lumpy but otherwise healthy 🧵

Things were going well for a while but then she started developing some lumps. We took her to the vet who assured us they were just fatty lumps, nothing to worry about. So we trusted that until more kept appearing and we took her somewhere else to find out it was mads cell tumors. Cancer 🧵

Unfortunately with her past litters, getting her fixed was a struggle and, while we had another male dog, she ended up with a 4th (and final) litter of 10 puppies. We kept 3, Adam, Daisy, and Dutch, and gave the rest to family and friends. Shortly after, we managed to get her fixed 🧵

She was supposed to be his dog but eventually when i moved away, i took her with me. I wouldn't leave her there. From there, I showed her she was safe and didn't have to fear people and she gave me love when i was at my lowest. We've become inseparable since then 🧵

At the time, the person who was supposed to take her was my roommate that was abusive while i lived there. He was so mean to her so she'd stay in my room. I was keeping her safe and she was helping me through that abuse. We were each others' support in that time. 🧵
