I don't know when the businesses will just start rounding up/ down, but right now it seems the method is to say, "PLEASE GIVE US PENNIES 🥺."
A sign at Sheetz that reads: "attention customers: the US mint no longer produces pennies, so we are short on change!" and asks to either go cashless, round up to support charity, or bring in $1 worth of pennies to get a free self serve drink.
