Pretending that the minority party in the Senate is powerless is performative helplessness. If they wanted to, they could grind everything to a halt. Denying quorum for committees, holds on every nomination, ridiculous amendments, forcing roll call votes, the works. They legit could.

I've worked plenty of retail, food service, and customer service in my day. The type of people who are shitty to strangers who pick up a phone because they have to and have no real power are people I steer clear from.

Oh, I do that too. They're not mutually exclusive and I think you know that. I see what Fetterman is doing all the time and Shapiro. I tell them when I'm proud of them and when I'm not. That's how representation works.
