I am a humanitarian who wants us all to act like humans. I work for a nonprofit. I am trying to write a book but I keep getting distracted by research tangents. I call out racism and misogyny and will block anyone who DMs me.

I went by . I asked a construction worker for a piece. It felt like a piece of resistance to keep it out of a landfill. Maybe one day I can place it in a new plaza.

I remember when they painted Black Lives Matter on the streets of Washington, D.C.
I remember when Google Maps updated to recognize it.

Today, I walked by as they tore it up. I asked for a piece.

The paint is faded. They pulled it from the ground.

But..
Black Lives Matter.

Sitting next to Representative Bynum, I got an email inviting me to one of her town halls. I had to let her know. @repbynum

One of my first real experiences helping others was during my time at Star94 in Atlanta. Habitat for Humanity had launched an ambitious project: 100 homes in 100 days. As part of the Promotions department, I worked on the station's campaign to support the initiative.

I had a L5-S1 spinal fusion. Cost me a fortune. Also had a c4-C5 fusion. A screw fell out on that one (see picture). I had to pay to have it removed. I have spent a fortune just trying to be a functioning member of society and I am have a drawer full of insurance claim rejection and appeal letters.

I have had the same type of back problems Luigi had and been denied every test and coverage. Insurance companies make getting help an obstacle course. I literally had a screw fall out and had to pay to get the loose screw removed from my neck.

My daughter in law died in a senseless car accident on Friday. My heart is broken and I cannot fix this for my son. She was 23. And they were so so beautiful.

These Christmas gnomes make me happy. I smile every year when I bring them out.

The last time I set the table using this china, my Mother was alive. It is her china. Feeling her loss today. Dementia sucks.

My keyboard is ridiculous. But it makes me happy. It is bright and super noisy when I type. The buttons are huge. My husband thinks I am protesting adulthood. And yes, I covered my boring black desk in stickers. Maybe he is on to something.

I was supposed to be seeing Trans Siberian Orchestra with my Dad. Instead I have spent the last 5+ hours at the ER waiting to find out what he did to his wrist. Every 5 minutes he asks me the same questions over again. Alzheimer’s is the thing that is finally teaching me patience. #Alzheimers

I don’t think we can underestimate how the level of apathy by Democrat “Leaders” affected this election. I look at this picture and California…and I blame Pelosi, not Harris.

I had hope. I had faith. I don’t want to be bitter. It wasn’t the entire country that let us down. But this map…this is the one that hurts.
