Thank you!! I’ve been doing it just under two years now. I really love it and find it so fulfilling, more so than any other art form. I source it from Puerto Rico!! I’ve only been able to find one board with this coloring, but they’re all stunning in their own ways.

This is exactly what I do! Each day of the week has its own specific task - Mondays for drawing, Tuesdays cutting, Wednesdays shaping, etc. - keeps me from getting stuck at a standstill, and keeps me excited for the day ahead :)

Thank you so much! I’ve found that using canned air tends to be the best solution for dusting, for that very reason - a cloth tends to get a bit “grabby” on the wood! I do like the idea of a glass cover, but I’ve found that a big draw of these pieces is how tactile they are :)

Thank you so much, fellow art fella :)

Thank you so much, Jax! I am forever astounded by the natural beauty of wood - Mother Nature is doing most of the legwork here, I’m just the conductor :)

What an unbelievable compliment!!! Wow, thank you so much. To make something that is treasured for generations is perhaps the highest honor.

I’m dying to make another one of this magnitude! It was such a fun challenge to pack so much detail into a single piece.

And likewise!!! I’m excited to find all my friends here!

Yes! It has about 2” of total depth. :) i have huge respect for your craft, though! Working with veneer is such a challenge!

You really are the coolest! Thank you so much for this - and I definitely will! I just finished up a wren and was thinking of you the whole time making it :’)
