Seeing how a certain individual ended up somehow being alive after remake, I decided to play Crisis Core. The game was alright. I does provide some back story into some of the characters of the game, and the game play was fun, but I don’t see myself trying to play it again unless I’m trophy hunting.

It’s also really nice to see these classic characters in a modern game with updated mechanics. The developers did a great job developing the personalities of the main cast while also introducing new characters. I want to beat the game on hard mode, so I'll be replaying it in the near future.

The game play is great, and since I started with the PS5 version, the visuals are even better. When I got to Wall Market, I was absolutely floored by how beautiful it was. There were neon lights everywhere and I spent a good amount of time just walking around instead of progressing the game.

. I finally started playing it at the end of 2024, nearly four and a half years after its original launch. I hate myself for taking this long to pick it up. The story isn’t exactly the same as the original, which keeps you engaged as you constantly try to figure out where things are headed.

The combat was fun and definitely felt like a Platinum game. My second biggest gripe is that the world map was too small, in my opinion. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the recent trend of massive open-world maps that are huge and intimidating, but I was able to memorize this map surprisingly quick.

After I finished the game, I watched a couple of YouTube videos about the meaning behind the story, which inspired me to play it again. Now that I knew that the game was going for, I started my second play through and the story was more enjoyable.

During my first playthrough, the story left me feeling lost and confused. When the game made me replay certain portion of the story, it felt like it completely halted the momentum. While you eventually come to understand what the game was aiming for by doing this, the replayed part felt like a chore

I want Blue Sky to succeed, but it stinks that more people haven't made the switch.
