The issue isn’t whether Universal Healthcare can work. The issue is how do we get from where we are to UH. It took Canada decades and it has a ton of limits we might not like.

The point being we have to find a starting point that can grow it into what works here

American in Australia here. I just returned from the pharmacy where I paid less for my prescription medication than I would have in the states with my employer sponsored insurance program. I dont qualify for medicare in Australia. That is just the cost of my medication. Let that sink in.
