My son says he wants to be an event planner. To prepare him, I made him redo his homework 9 times, then told him “I’m sorry but the client no longer has the budget for this" and threw it out the window.

This ad. It says it all. Not everything needs reinventing. Good design—and good business—stand the test of time by being simple, effective, and built to last. Stick to what works.

The industry needs less hype and more substance. Less "revolutionary concepts" and more practical solutions. While others chase trends, I'll keep focusing on what actually works: solid planning, practical execution, and putting safety first.

Event vendors and suppliers. Be VERY CAREFUL if you want to criticise your competitors to your clients. In fact just don’t do it.

Micromanagement isn’t just a bad habit - it’s a waste of time and resources. It’s time ALL managers move to become outcome oriented instead of hourly focused.
