i can't believe january is almost over and i still don't have a new chapter of wstb up. at one point i thought i'd have it before the end of december lol. here, have some proof i'm working on it 🙃

Is. An. Owl.” “Sorry, Granger, but even your superior brain is wrong sometimes. It’s a crane.” “Malfoy, I swear to God.” She was getting louder. “It’s an owl. I remember, because the lecturer began talking about it right when you were leaning your big stupid body all over the armrest and taking up half of my seat as well!” “I was a perfect gentleman!” he nearly yelled, his face flushing with anger. “You were leaning!” She matched his volume, and others in the pub were looking at them. “You always take up so much space! Is it that hard to just keep to yourself? Some of us like to be able to breathe without being assaulted by your cologne once in a while!” Theo laughed loudly. They both shot him nasty looks, and he put up his hands defensively. “No, please, don’t mind me, this is the best show I’ve seen in ages.” “The answer is a goddamn owl! Write it down, Harry!” Harry, well-trained from an adolescence spent doing what Hermione said, usually at great benefit to his life expectancy, dutifully wrote it down. So did every other quiz team, who could clearly hear every word they were shouting at each other. Malfoy brought his voice down to a normal volume. “Cross it out, Potter. It’s crane.” She didn’t know whether Harry did what Malfoy said, because she and Malfoy were glaring at each other. His eyes were hot with anger, and—she couldn’t help looking—his jaw was set, his lips slightly parted. Then his glare broke and—“So you don’t like my cologne?”

is it wednesday? i think i missed #dhrwipwednesday but i just sat down to work on wstb again for the first time in ages and this is what falls out of my fingertips??? this is probably not going to survive the editing knife but i made myself laugh so i'm making you look at it before it gets deleted.
