The Republican shut down. They have the majority. The onus is on them to come to the table to negotiate. Compromise. That's how Congress is supposed to work. Instead, Johnson dismissed the House. The GOP is a party of cowards, willing to hurt Americans to follow Trump's order not to negotiate.

It's all about self aggrandizement. The only thing bigger than this monstrosity in the making is his ego. Next up, an arch adorned with golden angels!

It's going to stick for three more years. After that, I hope it's stripped of the gaudy gold and made into something more functional. For the PEOPLE, because it's OUR house, after all.
