I had to explain to my father-in-law that Jim Butcher didn't originate them, and THEN I had to tell my mum, no, this is definitely an old Scottish myth, and she hadn't heard of them.

What I AM looking for is collections of old stories or poems about faeries and selkies and what not. The original works that inspired a lot of the books that people are reading. I used to have a book of Scottish Mythology which was stories from around Scotland, so stuff like that would be great.

Please don't send me off to your latest shadowdaddy collection
