Yeah Stearns is not going to panic and change his whole evaluation of a player because the Mariners gave out a silly deal in mid-November. Either someone else will or this’ll go like last year

I think they “mutually part ways” at the end of the year if they underwhelm at the finish line. Divisional round would be the borderline where I don’t know which way it goes.

They’re too banged up and too poorly coached to win the Super Bowl but Jordan ascending into the elite tier is the best possible news they could get. He will have a different coach at some point

Ideal for me is they find someone to take Nimmo (DePo drafted him! Go home to the Rockies, bud!), freeing up some roster flex, and then bring Pete back as a most-of-the-time DH on something like 2/60 with a club option
