Apparently Gaetz’s predilections were a known thing in Congress for a while before anyone formally investigated. It sounds like the Freedom Caucus are admitting to protecting other members of Congress who really should be reported too.

I would ask them why, if they are aware of other members of congress who have behavior that is worthy of investigation (regardless of party) have they not already made the reports and started the ball rolling?

This is such a good piece of advice for writing/running any game sessions in general. Your players will never fail to surprise you with what they do and don’t pick up on, so if it matters make it unavoidable.

Players are paying attention to lots of things at the table, and will not catch your clever and subtle clues, themes or revelations. Hit them over the head with anything that's important.
