I thought the same thing, until I realized it was CDA and she was likely the lone non-magat in the room. It's entirely possible everyone else in the room was cool with her getting abducted by the brown shirts.

I'm getting a resounding "no" looking through these comments. And I get it. We all felt like the arc of history was actually bending towards justice, only to have quite the set back recently. It's okay to mourn that. But the only reason it looked like it was bending was because of us. Keep bending.

I don't know what the answer is, but the majority of these dudes going hard right are also victims. They're not in the same way as the people they're hurting, but they're still victims. I fear blaming them for not getting out will just push them further.

Andrew Tate, fallen from his peak as he might be, is still someone that far too many men and boys look up to. Just because I got out doesn't mean everyone else has the same opportunity or means to.

I think if you take those posts personally, you're a whiny little baby that needs their ego constantly stroked or you'll go alt right. But this opinion that I hold isn't ultimately helpful. The left has obviously lost out on the messaging.

I'm conflicted here. I'm an ex evangelical dude. I don't get triggered by the "alone with a man versus a bear" argument. I don't get triggered by "why are men?" posts. I know I'm not the man those arguments or posts are pointing at.

Don't call something scare tactics if all you're pushing back with is cynicism. Cynicism is acceptance. Download a privacy browser and install some extensions to block tracking. Tell your friends.

Counterpoint: it only takes 15 minutes to download a browser that's even slightly created for privacy and then download some extensions that block 95% of tracking. Cynicism is acceptance.

I'm giving myself a few days of mindless scrolling and then I'm scaling my online time down a ton. Already 100 pages into a new book so I think it's happening early. Trying to switch my attention locally and try to block out the national level disaster. Good luck Tori!

I get the sentiment, but I feel like this is why Democrats lose. Biden's admin did a ton of great stuff. But Democrats can't simultaneously rally around victories and push for continued progress.
