* I understand some businesses and sites need traffic (and that the platform made itself indispensable in some ways before EM took it over) — but maybe it’s worth asking if you truly need it or not?

Feels like the human life/health toll has only begun and will surge over the next year or two.
Instead, 75-80% of everything we knew there disappeared.
Our place didn’t burn but we’ve been back twice since the evac lifted on the 18th and felt sick both times despite wearing head to toe PPE. Lots of black ash and god knows what else in our apartment.
Lots of ppl not protecting themselves.

All of that shit is *gone* — and what’s wild is we thought we were being dramatic when we evacuated (which was about 20 mins before the order). The plan was to spend two hours away and then feel like overly dramatic dingbats when we returned to find everything unscathed.
