All of those factors are of course relevant within the American context, but a few of the chapters have a transnational focus, with the clear context that the book is rooted within the particularities of the U.S.'s histories with incarceration and colonization.

We've got chapters on African-centered assessment, community healing, forensic practice in service to radical movement, therapeutic practice for formerly incarcerated people, reparations, and more. All from a grounded group of scholars, clinicians, and people with lived experience.
