At a dance school in Gianyar, a student getting ready for a traditional dance recital in full makeup peeks through a gap over hedges.

In Balinese dance, the eyes of dancers feature prominently in the emotional storyline of the dance.

I did another Ophelia project a year after the first time, using a bathtub carved from volcanic rock and one soft box. I liked it more the second time around, for its simplicity and clean composition.

Sometimes I think people will recreate the ontology in their heads and project it onto any other space or environment they happen to inhabit.

There is no escape.
