To achieve modern & sustainable water management we need good institutional capacity & clear rules, and completing the Skopje collector system & the wastewater treatment plant, both co-financed by 🇪🇺, would make a real positive difference regarding the Vardar river pollution.

The 🇪🇺 & Council of Europe are helping 🇲🇰 improve conditions in prisons: after Shtip, Prilep & Kumanovo prisons, Idrizovo Prison also got a children’s corner – a safe place for young visitors during family visits. Strong family bonds help prisoners’ social reintegration & future desistence from crime.

Free legal aid is not a charity – it is a human right.
Today, the 2025 Enlargement Report was presented to the President of the Court of Appeal of Bitola, Zhaklina Doveden, while later on, in Struga, to the Mayor Mendi Qyra and to civil society & academic representatives. Constructive discussions on various aspects of the report were held with them all.

We launched today a new EU-funded & ILO-implemented project focused on supporting the efforts of 🇲🇰 to strengthen workplace health & safety, and establish a system for properly monitoring injuries & fatalities at work. The project aims at transforming workplaces to ensure that every worker is safe.
