What does this 1st c. CE stela fragment from Burnum (Ivoševci, Croatia) depicting a signum militaris have to do with the Roman military community, communion, and more-than-human agency?

Not sure yet... but while I work that out, have a look at it.
a fragment of a roman tombstone. the fragment seems to be from the centre-right of the tombstone. the remains of the Latin epitaph are visible, and framed on their right by a roman military standard which consists of a pole bearing a handle, a crescent, and three phalerae or discs. the top of the standard is missing, but was probably once a square flag, open palm, animal, or spear tip

A fragment of what is thought to be a monumental Roman tropaeum ('trophy') depicting, well, another tropaeum

This 1st century fragment is from Tilurium (Gardun Croatia), one of two legionary fortresses in Dalmatia. It is currently held in the Archaeological Museum in Split

a rectangular stone fragment of presumably a once much larger monument, it has a small part of an inscription field, which is bordered by arms and armour. to its right is an image of a roman battlefield tropy, essentially a scarecrow in a roman cuirass bearing some roman weapons, and sitting above two bound individuals, presumably signifying the defeated local populace

A scaled density graph of types of inscriptions from Dalmatia, showing their relative distribution from 50 BCE through to 350 CE. Some types, like epitaphs are consistent throughout the whole period. Others, like the military diploma, which peaks from 25 CE to 150 CE, or prayer inscriptions, which peak from 275 CE, only appear for spaces of 100 years or so

Any digital epigraphers on this site? Anyone know of publications using scaled scatter plots for distribution (like below)? Trying to find other examples

I know there must be plenty, but none in my Zotero (cries in very behind schedule PhD student)
