Tenor supplies the alt text for the gifs. I’d guess that the barrier is cost, plain and simple. It’s not a revenue-generating platform at this point.

Nope. The "Kirby doing a dance sequence" gets completely ignored, and the forward and backward slashes in "yay" get ignored, so all you get to hear is the letter "o." At least that's what happens with Apple VoiceOver. Other screen readers may be smarter. Or dumber. 😂
