In my language we call them "King of the Fence"and they behave like it, being fearless, curious and hardy. They stay here all winter and do not even leave their turf to live near feeding places.

I believe that we all share one root spark of life, which splits into smaller roots like all potatoes, then x group of potatoes, then an individual potato's life. identical twins also have separate lives. The truly immortal part of the soul is shared anyway IMHO. Not animist maybe but my take.
