What DEI actually is: allocating time designated for career fairs to high schools in historically underserved areas to educate the student population about paths to career opportunities outside of what’s been modeled for them

What people think DEI is: hiring someone completely unqualified for the job because of their race in an attempt to meet a “diversity quota”

What DEI actually is: ATS technology that removes names from resumes so that applicants can be compared without unconscious bias from inferring race or gender

This was heartbreaking

As an HR professional, I think I’m about to get a headache from rolling my eyes watching people who have no idea what DEI programs actually look like try to outlaw DEI programs.
