Had a trip to Inchcolm Island and Inchcolm Abbey today on the Forth, south of Burntisland. We took a ferry from Hawes Pier at South Queensferry. Lots of interesting history. Saw puffins, seals and numerous other seabirds. Lucky enough to get a half hour of sunshine ! Not bad for this summer so far !

Its National Walking Day today - why not go out & take a walk in the lovely sunny Spring weather
I find walking is good - physically & mentally - it even helps you sort out problems - so many good ideas have come to me when I relax and take time to have a walk. Photo from Chatelherault Lanarkshire

Largs is a big favourite for West of Scotland days out - the Largs Viking Festival was great fun this year - I loved the burning of the Viking long ship on the beach and the Battle of Largs re-enactment.

Have you visited the new Perth Museum ? I was very impressed with how they had converted the old City Halls. You can visit the adjacent St John's Kirk and the Art Gallery which is nearby. All feature on our Perth Eurowalk which has other interesting locations too.
