In open terrain like this, with the omnipresence of "eyes in the sky" along the line of contact, anyone trying to perform a classic ambush will likely get hit by an FPV without ever having made contact with the enemy.

At 2 secs, the voice says they drove over a mine. My rough guess is that most occurences of this kind of destruction is presently being caused by drone strikes (mostly FPV) followed by artillery strikes. I assume close range ambushes to be a rare occurence, mostly by SOF in rearward, wooded areas.

My bet is that this picture was made in the second half of the 1980s or even in the early 1990s. Looking at the kids' general appearance, the is *no way* this could have been in the mid-1970s (Nixon resigned in 1974, but he still had two decades to live).
