Thank you, this should have been added a long time ago. I've added 🇨🇿 to this now.

Not sure Beamish has much style either! Definitely the inverse of Guinness in terms of marketing

Visited Cork 🇮🇪 this year where Beamish/Murphy's and Guinness get almost equal billing in pubs.

Beamish was my personal preference of the 3. I can't speak yet for how it is in the UK

Guinness/Beamish/Murphys

"There are better stouts". There are but I'm not sure I want 7-12 pints of a rich complex stout. Mild, creamy... they fill a niche which is background volume session drinking. (Hence Brewdogs doomed attempt)

They do look after the beer well there. It came close to an inclusion on my guide, definitely one I had to ponder carefully.

There isn't normally any stench, so unlucky there...

I agree with that part of the discussion too, but it seems only tangentially relevant to the sleight of hand by major brewers. Adjusting beers below tax thresholds - not to pass on savings to the consumer but as per usual to maximise shareholder returns.

You must be well versed with the rhythms of 't Brugs Beertje over the course of the year. Busier/quieter times for tourists, etc

What would you recommend for our readers seeking a high chance of getting a seat?

I take it Summertime or turning up earlier in the day during colder months helps.
