Spending time with my father this weekend illustrated the ease of closeness you have with the person who raised you. There is an unspoken way you move through the world together. I’m so thankful for it but at the same time mourn that this is will not ever be recreated with my father in Korea.

I have lived in Washington DC for almost a decade. The vibes have never felt more rancid. I can’t really explain it but I am confident you know what I mean.
