roleplay is narrative improv and every action taken should generally be open for potential response or even refutation - past tense implies closing the position as soon as it's made, and is thus unfit imo
When you roleplay, do you prefer to write in present tense? Past tense? Do you change to match your roleplay partner? Does it change depending on whether you're roleplaying in game or over another format (discord, forum, tumblr, etc.)? Why?

imo filling in blank spaces is orthogonal to lore accuracy. adding things is not intrinsically lore accurate *or* inaccurate
how do you handle lore adherence/strictness?
let's go with a scale from 1-10, where 1 is "i only acknowledge what's explicitly confirmed to exist in-game", 5 is "i fill in empty gaps but don't rewrite things" and 10 is "i have rewritten the entire setting"
