Fixed it!

In the boot image file kayak/installer/dialog-install i have to comment out the `extrarepo -on`. That shell functions calls `pkg` and somehow it corrupts the memory

#OmniOS #Illumos crashing during the installation. Right after the Updating Boot Archive message.

Not memory issue - tested on two devices (on the same SSD).

Most likely an issue with `bootadm` not being able to properly format the SSD which had #FreeBSD on #ZFS installed before.

This is how ign noise looks like
November 5, 2025 at 10:21 AM
Thanks to Acerola's lead to the ign() noise I was able to get rid of the color banding on my #Numworks calculator

I love how ign() creates offset printing rosette pattern.

The portable Machine Report tool (fork of TR-100 by US Graphics Company) is public now: codeberg.org/dach/machine...

I took the liberty to name it TR-101.

Tested on the following platforms:
- Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Chimera Linux)
- FreeBSD 14.3
- OmniOS illumos
- MacOS Catalina

I was so tired with the ThinkPad media keys not working on #FreeBSD so i had to patch the `acpi_ibm.ko` driver to add the needed functionality. Now it properly generates libevdev events like XF86Search/Tools/LaunchA/B/. And so on. (see before/after)

Almost done porting the US Graphics Company TR-100 Machine Report from bash to the POSIX compliant sh. Already works on FreeBSD and Solaris. Need to test if i have broken the Linux and MacOS in the meanwhile...

I find it amusing for them not to use the right-to-left variant of their vertical script. This is where it originated from.
