From photo it's easy to see, how Taigei was intended for quick conversion into aircraft carrier for war.
To have flush flying deck one need to remove lightly build superstructure, smokestack, 2 masts + reroute smoke to side of ship. Small hangar is already present. > CV is ready.

Made another version of TO&E drawing of infantry company of Type “A” infantry regiment of the Imperial Japanese Army (1936), I've posted day ago.

This time I've mixed NATO and mine symbols together. Do you like it?

Bought and operated by the Imperial Japanese Army, Parseval PL 13 (Parseval-Luftschiff 13, in Japanese 雄飛, Yuhi) was a non-rigid military single-gondola airship made in 1912 by the Luft-Fahrzeug-Gesellschaft in Bitterfeld (Germany), designed by von Parseval.

Even if codes are fake (painted for filming) G4M belong to late model G4M1 Model 11, produced between September 1943 and January 1944 (thanks
@jot29qQHPrHE9Gh
for clarification).
So video can be filmed only after September-October 1943 but before 19 July 1944, when Ooi was sunk.
August 19, 2025 at 8:54 AM
So Ooi should look like this model with _6_ torpedo mounts. BUT on screen we can clearly see _10_ torpedo mounts!
And this video can’t be made before August 1942, because G4M bomber carry “32” code of 732 Air group, created 1 October 1943.
August 19, 2025 at 8:54 AM
Yesterday I’ve posted screens showing rarely seen IJN torpedo cruiser. It’s probably Ooi because all smokestacks are of same length (thank you for clarification, commenters!).
But screens bring new mystery – MYSTERY OF 10 TORPEDO MOUNTS.
Read this threat, to find out what it is>
August 19, 2025 at 8:53 AM
To add to my previous post - I stand corrected, it's not a pre-war video.
G4M carry unit number "32" = 732th Naval Air Group (Kokutai), which existed between 1 October 1943 and 10 July 1944.
August 18, 2025 at 6:46 PM
Screenshots taken from a video of IJN G4M bombers making mock attacks on IJN vessels prewar have yielded photos of either Kitakami or Ooi in their torpedo cruiser form.
Until now there was only one photo showing Kitakami in this form; it was taken by a high-level bomber and is very blurry.
