5/ Second, we find that clean inventions come as much from inventors with no prior experience in clean patenting as from inventors with a history of clean patents. That's quite a lot of entrants, and including from other areas of patenting! 😲

4/ First, we find that energy inventors rarely patent on both clean and dirty technologies. 
This makes sense, given returns to specialization, and it underscores the challenge of reallocating human capital from dirty to clean technologies. 🚩
