I have been boiling down maple syrup since March 14 and today is the last day. I am going to pull out the taps tomorrow. I am going to retire my hard working backup crew also. The best thing is that we will soon move to the garden.

It is a cold morning here in NB so I have my two favorite pets to help me keep warm and relax after this stressful news cycle week. They always help me to lower my blood pressure.

Now the question is will there be enough people willing to stand up?

Mine is also working out straight in this windy weather after the snow storm.

The CBC had a story about 5 former PM'S want Canadians to fly the flag on February 15 to celebrate 60 years since the Maple Leaf was officially introduced as our flag. I fly mine every day to reclaim it from the convoy idiots that were in Ottawa a couple of years ago. 1/2.

I can relate to that situation.

When 9/11 happened Canada took in thousands of Americans from the grounded planes,in Afghanistan hundreds of Canadians were killed and wounded. And now we have a president who wants to take over our country?

It is -15F here tonight but my mini split heat pump is keeping my house at a decent 72F but it is always nice to have a little help from my lapdog and lapcat.

It is -24 C with the wind chill here this morning. It will be a while before I get back in the pool, but on the bright side we will have a white Christmas and the days are now going to get longer instead of shorter.

It will be some time before this rolls around again. Now it's a little bit harder to walk the dog.
