We find evidence that moderate SARS-CoV-2 infections may accelerate changes in Ab and pTau biomarkers, particularly in vulnerable individuals, alongside cognitive and neuroimaging changes. Other infections have been linked to Alzheimer's disease and there may be common mechanisms.
