I disagree a little bit. Yes of course partially WWII was a continuation of WWI. But partially it was a continuation of the russian civil war.
For example we can see that many american workers have demanded the USA government to start war against the fascism. It's an impossible situation during WWI

I have known one post-stalinist organization in eastern Europe that was named "Tankies". In my own country I was thinking about myself as a euro-communist.
