I never said a game developer shouldn't make games, and as I pointed out Blow and Diev's portfolios are more than just one or two games... It's fine for you to disagree though, I know my overrated micro games opinion goes against common wisdom.

Dief has a website, definitely worked on more than 2 games, same with Blow, check their Wikipedia article. I dunno about Wreden. I'm not convinced about common advice just to make tiny games. I released one once and I can't imagine making 20 more would have been very beneficial to myself or others.

Crisis averted. (Still scummy, bring back the ToS-change tracker, and remove the always online req. They gonna be harvesting usage data to train AI for sure)

The retroactive terms change I see as a seperate and terrible decision. That should just never happen and terms should only change moving forward with a reasonable lead time so Devs can make informed decisions to switch.

What I don't understand is, if the subscription model isn't profitable, why not just go rev share? Devs push back against it as it will cost them more, but if a sub model is not profitable then it's just not viable for the work Unity is putting in to the engine...
