Almost entire east of democratic Ukraine, particularly the important east-central gas-producing areas, came under heavy Blitz air attack by fascist Russia overnight. Kyiv lost power around 0110, and my area now on a scheduled outage until 1130. Trains to/from east also delayed.

Russian Kinzhal missiles overflew Kyiv Oblast, say Telegram monitors. No power here in west Kyiv, reports of emergency outages in capital and surrounding oblast. This could be measure to protect the network and/or because of hits by earlier-launched Kinzhals and cruise missiles.

Great news: It looks like the long-awaited Patriot air defense systems pledged by Germany have arrived. These will help Ukraine defend itself as the conflict in the air enters its most intense and possibly decisive phase this winter. Vielen Dank, Deutschland!
President Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine’s Patriot air defense capabilities have been strengthened, thanking Germany and Chancellor Friedrich Merz for fulfilling prior agreements.

This is a sign that the West should impose and strictly enforce even more sanctions on fascist Russia - the sooner the Kremlin loses the capacity to wage its war of aggression, the sooner the war comes to an end.

Haven’t read full article, but the thesis that Ukraine is about to collapse is false: Ukraine has secured billions in funding commitments until 2030, and it’s long-range strike capability will soon be widening & intensifying.Tiny, incremental ground losses do not spell defeat.
