New paper published in Remote Sensing on glacier albedo modelling!
The study develops elevation-dependent glacier albedo models using machine learning and multi-algorithm satellite validation in Svalbard, advancing tools for Arctic glacier monitoring.

❄️ As part of #LIQUIDICE, an autumn campaign was carried out on #HansGlacier #Spitsbergen.

⚠️ Since the late 1980s, its mass balance has been monitored as clearly negative.

💦 The glacier loses about 1.5 m of #water equivalent yearly.
