#Hoyas off to a fast start in the #transferportal. I expect Powell and Love to start; I have no idea what their additions means for the rest of the roster, but these are the types of guys you bring in if you think that Sorber is coming back.

No idea why so many guys are sick, but what a first half from Mack. One gets the sense he is happier playing without Epps. #Hoyas.

Catching up on #Hoyas news. Not totally surprised by the Fielder transfer, but I would have liked to have seen him play in the Crown tourney. It would have been a good showcase for him. Ultimately, though, he isn't strong enough to play the 5 and too slow to play the 4 for a good P5 team.

With Xavier in the NCAA Tournament, I think that means the #Hoyas will be playing in Vegas. 😂

Coach deserves a ton of credit for the development of Sorber and Peavy, but Coach may never stop kicking himself for letting Brumbaugh transfer. Just a unique talent to let go in order to accommodate two undersized, streaky guards.

There is no way to spin losing to DePaul three times in a year. Sorry.

Only caught the first half of the #Hoyas game last night. Beating UConn without Sorber was always going to be too tall a task. I liked the effort for the most part, but McKenna may have had some of the worst minutes I've ever seen. Hurley exploited him mercilessly on defense.

Great performance from the #Hoyas tonight. Considering Sorber did not play, it may have been their best effort of the season. Peavy is simply one of the best players in the Big East, and Burks and Fielder were stellar inside. Meanwhile, Providence is in major trouble.

Belated thoughts on the #Hoyas' loss to Butler. 1) I hope Sorber is OK; 2) this team would be unimaginably bad without Sorber and Peavy, which bodes poorly for next year; 3) I'm expecting lots of roster turnover again, with maybe 4 or 5 guys returning; 4) beat Providence.

A solid win by the #Hoyas. Peavy is emerging as the #1 option. Sorber is Sorber. #Hoyas will need way more from Mack and Epps to be beat the top teams in the Big East, however. I stand by my view that Coach should have kept Brumbaugh.

#Hoyas started the BE schedule really well, but seem to have collapsed. This isn't just a bad stretch imo. Epps + Mack are spent. Peavy is holding up OK but isn't consistent offensively. Coach has zero faith in his bench, even though guys like Burks and Williams have shown potential.

I said at the time that it was a mistake to let Brumbaugh walk, and nothing since then has changed my mind. Big lead guards who can shoot are a rare commodity. #Hoyas

I am generally happy with this #Hoyas season and don't care about Providence, but imagine this team without Sorber and Peavy next season. Gulp.

Poplar ejected for an attempted slap/punch to the face of Sorber. Things are getting spicy in Philly. #Hoyas

Good energy early from the #Hoyas against #Nova. Need shots to start falling.
January 20, 2025 at 11:07 PM
I have no idea what the #Lions are doing. They have been moving the ball at will on the ground and yet have already turned the ball over 3 times. Why call a WR pass in the 4th quarter??
January 19, 2025 at 3:47 AM
Not much to say. #Hoyas seemed demoralized in the first half without Sorber and Epps. The second half was much better, but DePaul hit some tough shots in late shot clock situations. The best thing you can say about DePaul is that it is a well-coached team; this loss won't age well.
January 18, 2025 at 3:22 AM
A blowout win against DePaul would be very nice. Sorber + Mack are starting to wear down a bit, so more production from the bench would be ideal. #Hoyas

UConn came in to the game with the plan of wearing out Mack and Sorber, and it worked to perfection. Rough game for both. I did not like Coach's decision to play a clearly unhealthy Epps early in the second half, especially with the Williamses playing well.
January 11, 2025 at 9:11 PM
OK first half from the #Hoyas. Uconn is fouling a lot, and the refs are letting a lot go. More ball movement would help. I expect a good second half from Mack.
January 11, 2025 at 8:21 PM
My NBA comp for Sorber is a cross between Paul Millsap and Jason Collins. Best player on the floor against UConn thus far. #Hoyas
January 11, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Whatever happens against #Marquette down the stretch, the #Hoyas are back.
January 8, 2025 at 2:54 AM
BIG win for Georgetown and Cooley tonight. #Hoyas could have easily folded because of the Epps injury and foul trouble. But it's a new era. The wife said it best, "No more disgusting basketball!"
January 4, 2025 at 3:16 AM
Good start! #Hoyas
I think that the #Hoyas will beat Xavier tonight. Mack will be the X-factor.
