I use krita myself. Has a good timeline and decent, albeit a bit unituitive, tweening. Only drawback is it gets unstable on "larger" files. I often have to cut projects up around 30ish seconds depending on layer count/audio/etc to avoid crashing. You gotta have autosave if you use it for that.
