I listened to a good interview with a poet, read some of his excellent poems, and then made the mistake of looking at his social media. Yikes. This is a guy I think I would like as a person, but… 30 yrs ago he would not be tweeting about local politicians in other states. Social media is toxic.

Yes! That is the one in our neighborhoodI hate the most--because it's on a busier street than Reed and there's even less space around the tree.

Great idea. I ride my bike by there every day on my way to my teaching job, and it always makes me happy. A few years ago I even scribbled a sonnet about it in weird dimeter couplets... Found it:

The whole racecourse should be closed, not just Dudley St. We were listening to the brass band on Jackson for a while; and several cars went through at inappropriate speeds, despite the crowds spilling into the street.
