The Center of Athens, especially the syntagma square and Thessaloniki were turned into battle grounds quickly. Tear gasses, Molotovs, beatings, etc.
They threw such a lethal dose of tear gas that resulted in one's death.

For this reason, thousands of people all around Greece protested for justice to be served, light to be shined to this situation and those responsible to be put in trial.
We were met with heavy and violent resistance from the riot police. Who used lethal amounts of tear gas to break us up.
