Well Ethan bagged a PB at Wilmslow parkrun of 25:25 as a young 12 year old so I’m now living vicariously through him 😂😂😂🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️

Delighted with my presentation at #ESMO25 for @Medscape. It’s such a privilege to be given the patient voice and make the voices of the thousands of men that @TackleProstate support, heard. Now though I found a beer garden! Won’t be here long cos it’s freezing!

Fitting that my article tackleprostate.org/harms-of-lat... on the harms of late diagnosis of #prostatecancer is published today as we’ve been at Westminster for the launch of Prostate Cancer Research’s paper Prostate Cancer Screening: The impact on the NHS which has met with cross party support.

Absolutely brilliant gig from Kane Brown in Manchester tonight. Definitely in my top 3 of the year and maybe top

Hiked Kinder Low via Jacob’s Ladder. Really tough hike and struggled on the climb!

This is my bionic knee. It’s hanging on okay despite me pushing it hard
September 25, 2025 at 5:39 PM
After feeling awful yesterday I felt great today and so pushed it quite hard to do my fastest time on this short route on the 6th consecutive day of running. Rest day from running tomorrow as I’m going hiking in the Peak District 😂😂

ust nearly burst into tears in an exercise class because I was struggling horrendously with fatigue and couldn’t do a lot of the exercises like I normally can. But it’s okay, I got the good cancer! #prostatecancer Still managed a mile plod very slowly!

Delighted to feature in the Autumn edition of @icr.ac.uk Search magazine. Research done by ICR has kept me alive for 6 years beyond my prognosis so far. Any donations to support future research to keep me going gratefully received donate.icr.ac.uk

Decided to do a short “effort” run this morning. Only a couple of miles but it finally felt like I was running rather than jogging! Still plenty of room for improvement though. New knee holding up well!

45 years ago today we got married.

8 years ago I was told I only had 2 years to live thanks to stage 4 #prostatecancer and I didn’t think we’d get to 40 years let alone 45! Now I’m optimistic we’ll get to 50!

Don’t think we’ve changed a bit in 45 years 😂😂😂

8.25 years ago I was told I might only have 2 years to live thanks to incurable prostate cancer and I didn’t think I’d get to see my then 3yo grandson Ethan become a teenager. Well he’s 12 this month and I’ve just been told that my PSA remains undetectable! Still beating the odds, a very lucky man!

My friend Paul Dennington, also living with terminal prostate cancer, is walking 588 miles through his life across the country in 36 days. I joined him today for one leg and that’s enough for me. No idea how he does it but any donations gratefully received www.justgiving.com/page/paul-de...

Plod in the rain! Good job I enjoy running in the rain! Not letting the new knee or stage 4 cancer stop me.

My grandson doing only his 2nd ever parkrun and making it look easy in 25:30 and beating his old Grumps by 306 places! Mrs C 2nd in her age group with the old fella lagging behind but with a post knee replacement and Warrington parkrun PB!

Stunning day hiking in the Peak District. We live in the most wonderful country

Just back from a slow 3km run and thought I’d do a wee video wishing my friend Kev Webber (whose been living with stage 4 prostate cancer for 10 years) good luck in his ultra marathon in Andalucia where it’s currently 40c+

Such a brilliant morning at 5k Your Way at Wilmslow parkrun this morning. Such a brilliant initiative supporting those living with, beyond and impacted by cancer via parkrun and exercise. Wonderful chat over coffee afterwards

The Tweed is stunning. A few pics from our hike a week or so ago
June 26, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Fabulous hike up and down the Tweed Valley today. 25,000 steps yesterday. Over 20,000 today and that’s despite stage 4 cancer and a new knee!
June 16, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Bizarrely felt way tougher than last week but was actually quicker and another Warrington parkrun PB! Still not able to do 5km without walk breaks but it’s getting there! Cancer never stopped me and I’m determined that the new knee won’t either

It was a lovely warm evening tonight and the village pub is only 800m from our new house. It was too nice a night to miss out on meeting up with half the family for a cold un!

👉You don’t need a finger up the bum to test for prostate cancer. The first step is a simple blood test you can get free from your GP.
