God, writing this brought back so many memories. I’ll probly add more randomly. Scarlett, I love you so much. I’m so happy for all the memories. We talk about you all the time and how special you are. I miss you so much, but I know you’re with me too. I can’t wait to see you again one day. 🩵

Oh and hand signs!!! Her hearing started to go somewhat after age 15, so I was thankful we always did random signs & ASL with her. Another senior pro tip.

Old lady~ 17 in the first one, her last month with us, stayed for the holidays. Big tip!! Tbh CBD oil treats did SO much for her arthritis, though she may have been lucky too having no trouble with stairs ever. Got boney but with an already skinny breed, inevitable with muscles and age.

Sugarface!!! Started greying at 8? 10? Normal and then it blended into her back and maybe her whole body…? So everyone was surprised to hear her age.

The “tt” usually wins tho bc double letters became our naming trend (Scarlett Belle, Rocco Flynn, Rubee Nelle - (Belle = Scarlett’s mom) + (Nelly = Rubee’s) = homage! Tried to also keep the “red” theme (Flynn = red, Rubee ofc = ruby). Here’s them, I’ll make em threads sometime, they’re so weird.

Despite being a sunshine fireplace cozy girly she was weirdly totally unphased by snow? Maybe because she was a winter baby. 🤷♀️ I suppose a cozy coat helps… boots too but vizsla feet are so little they just slide off.

Cosplayer! She helped me fulfill a dream cosplay from Rule of Rose where she was Brown. I also took pics with her when I cosplayed Hungary from Hetalia (unfortunate ik) bc Hungarian Vizsla, but I’d have to go on a quest for those pics.

On the very rare occasion she did get in trouble (usually going out of the yard & not listening since she was yard-trained with supervision) she had to sit on the stairs where she couldn’t see us in the living room. Tells you how loving she is.🥹 If she snuck back… we weren’t rly about to stop her

ik she looks kinda miserable here but I swear it’s bc she hated unpaid paparazzi pics. She loved dressing up- solely because she’d get extra attention. Always had a great time on Halloween. Didn’t wear outfits nearly as much as Roo tho oml diva

Always NEEDED to be covered with a blanket at night. If no one covered her, she’d paw at a door to get us to. My dad rigged up a wood frame with a big blanket and clamps (not an available thing then) for her. Brought her & it to school for an “invention” project, where she demonstrated it lol

Okay random things now BUT velvety soft ears~ vizslas have kinda coarse VERY short fur that numbs your hand to pet after a while, but the ears are so soft. As a pup I brought her to elementary school and all the kids did was pet her ears lol

“Wasn’t allowed on the couch”- meaning “you’re allowed on the couch unless dad’s here”. And she knew it, almost never got caught. And got her way when we got old lady privileges. I still have the couches and… vizsla hair doesn’t come out of ANYTHING. I get a wave of nostalgia every cleaning.

Vizslas are “velcro dogs”- wanna be with you and cuddle all the time. 100% true. If you were on the floor you were in the prime “maul and kiss” zone. We got a vizsla bc my mom grew up with one and they’re forever my favorite dog breed.

Very energetic but never a trouble maker. Could catch a frisbee feet in the air like it was nothing. We did a good few years of agility competitions together in the summer! She loved it and always placed high.

My parents were always bad at pics (and it was the disposable camera days), so most of my pics are from my shitty LG Lotus flip phone from high school;; But she didn’t care. Despite the gorg face card, she did not like pictures, would barely look at the camera unless I bribed her.
