You are correct about persistence. Sadly the recent cases of Georgian protests reveal a pretty bleak picture. Ukraine succeeded because they went all in.

pitun is dragging orange by the nose so no surprises there. Expect nothing out of it. Sadly, the US admin betrayed Ukraine and is currently throwing us under the bus. The actions of current US government so far has been nothing but carrots for russia.
