As electricity demand doubles by 2050, grid investment must rise but with the right planning, costs per MWh can stay flat.

Smart regulation, spatial planning and DSF, amongst other levers, will be key to keeping grid costs low.

It is critical to improve access to affordable & efficient cooling. Policymakers can address this via clear guidance for passive cooling techniques, minimum energy efficiency standards for AC & proper disposal of AC refrigerants.
