The Nagoro Scarecrow Village is possibly the most creepy place I have visited. It was a bit eerie feeling walking through it, seeing all the dolls place around in a real village like that...

Ine Fishing Village reminder me of Bryggen in Bergen. Except that the houses in Ine was actually right next to water. It was not so much to do there, though.

There are so many monuments everywhere in Japan. It makes the adventures so much more interesting. Almost always walking off the beaten path is rewarded. This time we found an abandoned dragon shrine. It had many pretty dragon ornament.

The Crotch-Watching Platform (its actual name) was interesting. I was supposed to see a dragon fly up in the sky, but I am not entirely convinced about it. Still a fun experience!

Kinkaku-ji was also amazing. Such a beautiful place 🥰 Although, you need a good camera to catch all the beauty of that place. Arashiyama was maybe a tad underwhelmin, but I do not mind as it was an amazing day.

Tomorrow we will drive to Tottori, so we better get rested.

There were also hidden away shrines along the route for the attentive and curious hiker. I was happy that we found the dragons' shrine, and petting the head of the dragon for good fortune.

Today's sightseeing in Kyoto was Fishimi Inari's, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama. The thousands gates of Fishimi Inari's og as as amazing as I hopes it would be! I wish I could walk it all again. It took over two hours going through all of them.

I visit Japan 6-8 times per year, but this is the first time I take an actual vacation in Japan. My love for Japan is being rejuvenated at this very moment 🥰

So far we have:
- Visited Nordic market in Yokohama
- Attended a Japanese wedding of a friend
- Drove a rental from Tokyo to Kyoto

This Japanese ad I found is lovely 🥰 They present amazing new material in a Christmas tree shaped container! 🎄

I am so disappointed to find really cute chocolate boxes at Nidar chocolate factory, only to realise it is AI generated content on the boxes ._. Surely they could afford to pay real artists for their merch.

Now I got to experience the true Octoberfest in Munich, thanks to invitation from colleagues at a local office. It went beyond my expectations! Much bigger than I had expected, and so much drunk people as the evening went on. If you like Octoberfest in general, I recommend going to Munich. 👍

Speaking of which, real purpose for visiting Trento was to check out the Bruno Kessler labs. I love lab machinery 🥰

I had, however, a wonderful start of the day! I ate breakfast at an oversized bench, with view over the Trento valley while watching the sun rise. It was wonderful!

Also, driving in Italy is scary. Everyone drive so fast!

Today's adventure was more dangerous than I planned. Note to self: "Good shoes over everything!" I did not prioritise shoes high enough. My plan was to climb Cima del Grostè, a 1300 meters acent. But in the end I made only 1000 meters acent. I gave up at the via ferrata and struggle with footing.

Trento is very beautiful. It is like a paradise, and food and wine is so good here 🥰

If you happen to visit Atsugi, say hi to the old lady in かかし from 外国の女性.

The izakaya that I have visited just 5 times made me a VIP patron already. The owner was so happy to see me again she ran up to hug me and gave me a special gift with a script thanking me for having a bottle-keep at their place. It is such a cozy place with an amazing old lady running the place.

Okonomiyaki is my absolute favourite Japanese food! If you have not tried it, you are possibly missing out on an amazing food experience 💙
I also tried もんじゃ (monja) for the first time, it was amazing as well! I was fortunate to dine with competent cooks also, which helps on the food experience 😁

While working from my hotel room, I took a timelapse of the sunset over Hon-Atsugi 🥰
Do not mind the reflection in the window.

I have become an honorary member of a colleague's family in Japan. While they lived in Norway I helped them with the various challenges they encountered, and now they invite me as a family member to various events. This time we went to their daughter's school festival. It was a unique experience 🥰

I wish I did not have to go straight from NDG to Japan, but here I am! My check-in remained in Helsinki. Not a problem for me, as it is empty, but the hotel staff was somehow informed about my missing luggage and profusely apologized to me on behalf of Finnair, which they are in no way related to.
