NATIONALIZE SPACEX! Normally I'm against anything Donny Taco does. But if he and Ketamine Boy are feuding, and SpaceX is now our only realistic national defense satellite launch system, he should nationalize the company, something that hasn't happened since 2008.

I think I like "Donny Taco" as its name. It makes it sound like a mob figure. "Don Taco" adds an honorific it does not deserve. "Taco Don" makes it seem more powerful than it is. Plus, "Donny Taco" rhythmically scans better.

For the march today, dc metro looks like it is running weekday rush hour service. Usually on weekends it's a train every 15 minutes. My train inbound was full.

I like how Canada's retaliatory tarrifs are targeted to impact red states more than other states. The term "red states" was in the announcement! Though it does look like the price of Jack Daniel's will go way up, and will not be imported into British Columbia.

When the committee saw that DC hotel occupancy rates were only 70% (usually over 90% on non-covid inaugurations, 50% average occupancy the rest of the year) they probably realized the crowd was going to be small. So used a weak weather excuse to cancel the big-crowd activities.
