29 years ago today, Russian-Jewish poet Joseph Brodsky passed away at 55 in his Brooklyn home. Though a Nobel laureate and beloved professor in the U.S., exile's shadow never left him.

Sad thing is most Americans won’t know the U.S. withdrew from the WHO or Paris Agreement. While exporting violence and pollution, they’ve retreated into consumerism and escapism so deeply they see these issues as irrelevant. This is why you get climate denial and RFK in charge of your kid's health.
