I received a cricut from my mother after she splurged for me at a garage sale. These are some things I made!
A simple cartoon image of a whale with three hearts coming from where the blowhole would be. The whale is printed out of a blue vinyl with a bubble pattern that shimmers in a rainbow color when the light hits it correctly. The whale is stuck on a cricut machine. A purple vinyl cutout of a horse head, with flowers used as a boundary for it’s neck. There is text that says “~craft time~” below the horse, curved around one of the neck flowers. The vinyl is applied to a clear plastic protective sheet for a cricut mat. A glittery blue vinyl sticker of a zebra head with sunflowers cutting off the neck area. Above a sunflower is curved text that says “ehlers-danlos syndrome”. The sticker is applied to the seat of a rollator

My total haul from a local garage sale. For $100 of my mothers money (when mom says “let me speak to the woman” you let her speak to the woman) I got:

121 solid-color vinyl in various textures, multiple brand new
7 patterned vinyl, one brand new
3 transfer tape
6 organizers
1 heat press.
A white storage organizer filled with various rolls of vinyl sorted into cubbies by color, with a cricut easypress heat press on top. The cubbies for white, brown, grey/black, blue and pink are all stuffed full. There cubbies for purple, green, and red are half full. There are only a handful of orange and yellows. There is also a cubby with transfer tape and a cubby with patterned vinyl. All of the vinyl roll colors are displayed in a rainbow on the floor. Some are glittery, some are matte, and some are shiny. 7 patterned vinyl rolls. I made a bigass pencil pillow for my mom’s birthday.

3 feet tall, 1 foot in diameter, 8lbs total.

9 skeins of yarn, a whole box of poly fil, and 20 hours later.

Literally the most comfy thing on the planet and I wanna make one for myself

Two amigurumi crochet pencils standing tall-wise on their eraser ends, one in front of the other, with their lead points to the sky. They are on a tan and brown carpet (think “default subdivision carpet”). They are colored like real pencils, with a pink eraser, silver metal band thingy that holds the eraser on, yellow body, and the white wood and black lead for the tip. They are two different sizes. The one in front is small. It is about 8 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter (roughly. I do not have exact measurements for the small one). It is made of worsted-weight yarn and well stuffed. Because of the yarn type, small gaps and a few tiny bits of stuffing can be seen between the stitches of the small pencil. It is propped up against the larger pencil. The larger pencil sits behind the small one, propped up against a purple wall. It is 3 feet tall, and 13 inches in diameter. (These are exact measurements). It is made of blanket yarn, which is much fuzzier and softer. Because of the thickness of the yarn, the stitches are very close together and no gaps or stuffing can be seen, despite the pencil being extremely well stuffed.

I made a crochet flower crown! I realized I don’t have a mannequin head to show it off, and I’ve been having some self image issues lately, but Platero is here to save the day!

It is meant for a human head, but the headband I made is stretchy and I made the ties back super long, so it’s flexible!

Also, amigurumi will be blind until my partner can get the 3D printer working for eyes. I broke THREE needles on those embroidered eyes.

So I have lost about 20 pounds this year (5 more to go until I hit my target). While I’m mostly celebrating, there was an unintended side effect.

The corset that I used to model for this pinup was a tight squeeze at the time, and it was a battle to put on.

I’m too small now. It won’t fit.

A torso-only white man (as in, the color white, not a Caucasian mannequin) mannequin displaying 3 colorful cross-body crochet water bottle holders. Each holder is cylindrical, with a round hole at the top to slide the water bottle into. Each holder has a crocheted strap attached to the top half of the holder. Individual pictures of the holders will have in-depth descriptions of each holder. Another water bottle holder made :) Highkey these are really fun to make and incredibly comfy, and I hope I can at least sell some to make cash to buy even more craft supplies before Joann’s closes.

I feel like $20 is a fair price to ask, considering labor and material costs. Thoughts?

Can’t stand having a tortoiseshell cat in this house causing problems, stealing q-tips, standing on counters, and being outright disrespectful.

So I got another one. Everyone say hello to 2 year old Harley! She was $35. She was a mom and (unfortunately) has been declawed :(

The difference in color between my Certified Humane egg and my Cage-Free egg is astounding. You can tell that CH is a lot better just by looking at them. Like DAMN.
