Don’t like having to come here & ask, but… My cat who we’d rescued a while ago (Bast) developed pyometra before we could spay, & has to go in for urgent surgery that comes out to $1.1k range

My work is OC centric, & most my OCs are some flavor of humanoid albeit not fully so (Ishtar below is in a “human form” solely cause haven’t drawn their alien form in a minute LMAO)

This doodle is related to events for the NSR AU version where Ishtar is a charter of their own district, & context is below on what leads up to.
(1/4) Text that reads: First i wanna preface this with: I have a headcanon that NSR has multiple ways of recruiting musicians, not JUST through the lights up audition, because… Lets be real here, they’re bound to have other avenues of getting people to join. It seems unrealistic to say it’s only via the lights up audition they acquire musicians in my opinion, especially if they’re considered the music capital of the world. But, amidst the various methods NSR may acquire others… One of the ways in which they do so is through seeking out musicians to recruit onto their ranks, usually looking for the best of the best in the industry & in their genres to see who to invite to interview & audition—first reaching a general consensus from those within NSR on whether to invite/allow invite or nah, & also doing at least some looking into the musician that they wish to recruit. Quite literally in game during her fight, Tatiana explicitly states that they have “gathered the best EDM artists in the world”, & I imagine if they’re gathering people of high status across in the industry, that that means going to an international level seeking out those at the top of their game to invite—since you know, the best of the best won’t always be in your country, & if they claim to have the best across the globe? Yeah. That said, if a musician declines totally then they will take them off their radar,” (1/4) Text that reads: “But it is possible that if said musician still holds sufficient notoriety & skill in the industry, they can possibly discuss a reconsideration of joining NSR reach out for re-invitation. Following that, of course, comes what I mentioned about people who are a part of NSR deciding on that & potential meetings concerning that, etc etc. But this would be an alternate method of recruitment. After all, managing to get the best of the best from across the globe, musicians who have reached such a status or show such potential, willing to join the record label? Even if they’re from far out countries? That would only improve their image. So, all that out the way— The general gist for this is that… All of the following would be for the AU version where Ishtar becomes charter of their district (although something similar is going on in the non-charter AU version), but I have my own headcanon that at some point there might have been an attempt from Kaletu to join NSR (& To give a brief rundown? He’s the famous musician Ishtar & Zion once were involved with, that is… Responsible for subjecting Ishtar to abuse, along with using his status in the industry to get away with what he did to them). The means through which he would’ve tried to join NSR is, of course, via discussion of potentially joining NSR’s ranks, considering the previous invitation he’d gotten in the past that he once declined” (2/4) Text that reads: “but said he may consider in the future (To note, this invitation was received long before the abhorrence of his actions were brought to light years ago. He’d been invited given his fame had been on par with megastars in Vinyl City, not to mention he IS highly skilled in his work—even though he is… The vile ass person he is.) This, of course, gets brought up as discussion among NSR staff on whether to go forward w inviting him, particularly in discussion/meeting on artists to potentially acquire that charters may have a say in as well (considering in-game they have a say in who makes it in via lights up audition, I imagine they’d have say in discussion of artists to invite onto the label as well). Unfortunately, in said meeting that he’s brought up? Ishtar & Zion are there (have to be). & That… Very quickly leads to tension among em at hearing this. Not to mention the glaring cracks that show in ishtar’s usual disposition as their own vulnerability slips out from em. Before others, bc of this. Because the very thought of the one who inflicted unspeakable cruelties upon them being part of the record label, on top of the fact that that means he’d end up in person around them again? They can’t handle that. & Likewise Zion is pissed about it given he has witnessed firsthand some of those cruelties” (3/4) Text that reads: “Not to mention Kaletu trying to stomp him out the industry too for helping in speaking out against him. Their own reactions throughout that meeting certainly would raise a brow, & while it leads in Kaletu’s rejection, well… There’s an awfully tense air throughout the entire discussion all while Ishtar’s trying to keep themselves together—hide away their vulnerability from fellow NSR artists. You can’t let them see that. Obviously after that, Ishtar has a discussion in private with Tatiana about this, bring to light why their reaction & the… Awful shit he’s done to them. Which, that info that is public anyway if searched for. (Hence another reason why ishtar dreaded that whole scenario, because now? If people have questions on how they & Zion both know Kaletu, & look into him………) So. The doodle here? Is basically a post discussion conversation between Ishtar & Zion via phone. Ishtsr is… Not well emotionally at all, & talking to zion about the whole meeting—not to mention I imagine Zion would have his frustrations too. (Hence the… I don’t know if its visible enough, but the little phone sketched out (by their leg that has a marking on it)? Which has a little speech bubble w Zion’s symbol in ? Its representative of him talking to them).”
